Edox: Grand Ocean Chronograph-An adventure in the Sea

Have an adventure by sailing the 5 oceans and 7 seas, hence it is apt that Edox names a mighty collection as the Grand Ocean series. Today, we are highlighting the Edox Grand Ocean Chronograph Automatic that is powered seamlessly by the sturdy Valjoux 7750 chronograph automatic movement. Constructed as a multiple-piece case and measuring 48mm in diameter, it is made for a nautical adventure of the high seas and is a striking testimony to Edox’s craftsmanship.

Large, luxurious and limitless, the dial displays hours, minutes, a seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock designed like a compass, with a red tip that is used to represent the direction, an easy-to-read date window and chronograph.

Hand-assembled at the Edox base in Les Genevez, Switzerland, the Edox Grand Ocean Chronograph Automatic is built to 100 metres water resistance and features a triple-horned lug, a signature look of the Edox Grand Ocean collection for a more ergonomic fit to the wrist. The watch also comes with a rotating diver’s bezel and water-resistant leather straps that are befitting for adventures in the ocean. Luminous hands and indices mean vital readings can be easily seen in low-light conditions for the high seas at night.

The case back is finished with a world map and a “porthole” opening, resembling the small circular window on the hull of a ship, that offers a glimpse into the watch’s balance wheel and movements.

This collection comes in three colours – ocean blue PVD-coated stainless steel, gunmetal PVD-coated stainless steel, and rose gold PVD-coated stainless steel.
