Part 3: My First Date @sodapopp

Meet Janice, also known as @sodapopp on Instagram. Here she shares with us her first experiences with Arbutus and how Arbutus Dual Time Skeleton AR1905RWF is an ideal choice for her first mechanical watch.

How did you meet your significant other?

We met many years ago - when we were still schooling. Back then we could talk for hours about anything and we were still exploring our place in the world, I still think back fondly of those memorable times.

Apart from the fact that we could click on many things, I was drawn to him because of his ambition and determination to succeed in life.

What did you do on your first date?

We went to Sentosa! Back then it was a lot less accessible, so it was more exclusive to go on a date. It was a nice stroll on the beach, we brought our own wine and made conversations for hours until the sun came up. Till today, it still ranks as one of our top 3 dates!

How did you prepare for a first date?

Yeah of course I did, imagine a nice dress but it wasn’t very wise because we spent most of the night sitting down on our bums! I wish I brought a pair of shorts to change out!

What are your first date tips (or advice)?

I believe you will know within 10 minutes of meeting someone if you have good vibes. Don’t waste too much time on first dates with someone you have a bad feeling about.

How did you know he was the one?

I knew that he would put me and our future family first before all other things.

What are your future plans with him?

Grow old together and retire early to see the world.

What dating advice would you give to someone about to enter their first relationship? Or What is the best relationship advice you can give someone?

People don’t change so don’t compromise, thinking that certain things “will get better”. Take your time to find the one who makes you feel like you want to go home, into the arms of that person.
