Part 2: How to style your Arbutus watch @jeslenec

Meet Jeslene Chia, also known as @jeslenec on Instagram. Here she shares with us her first experiences with Arbutus and how Arbutus Skeleton AR1719SWS is an ideal choice for her first mechanical watch.

Is there any particular fashion (style) trend you follow?

I rarely hop onto any fashion trend bandwagons. In fact, I’m always late to the party. For example, Vans Old School shoes went crazy 2-3 years ago. I bought it a year after the trend. But honestly, I don’t really look out for fashion trends. Whatever makes me comfortable and makes me look presentable, I’m happy. Right now, I’m quite into looking for fashion styles I can try on Tiktok. It’s an amazing platform.

What do you like about your Arbutus watch?

This is my first ever pair of stainless steel watches and can I say I’m freaking happy with it?! It pairs with almost anything and everything in my wardrobe. It just gives off a classy look even when I’m just wearing shorts and tshirt. And given the price point for an automatic watch, it’s amazing. I might consider getting it for my dad actually hahah.

How would you style an Arbutus watch?

I started dressing up properly and presentably ever since I started wearing Arbutus. I feel like if I don’t dress up properly, I’m not doing the watch justice hahaha. I’ve been trying a few styles - Smart casual and street style. The watch fits every single piece of clothing in my wardrobe. I’ve started to put on accessories too. I would pair my watch with a couple of silver rings on my fingers. The model that I’m using can be worn on weekdays - something more smart casual/formal and it can also be worn on weekends - beach shorts, floral button shirts and sliders. I will still look amazing.

Anyone and everyone can suit Arbutus Watch. You don’t have to buy 2 different kinds of watches to fit different occasions. 1 watch fits all, that’s the best way I could describe it.
