The timepiece uses a Swiss movement (Ronda 6003) that features a big date complication. This display allows a much larger view of the date and is significantly more legible than a traditional date window. A traditional date displays the date 1-31 in one window, while a big date complication has two windows, the left one displaying 0-3, and the right window displaying 0-9. The case comes in at 40.5mm, 8mm thick and weighs a mere 54g.

The dial features 2 textures, a matte white dial bordered by a brushed steel layer that looks different depending on the angle you are looking from, adding more dimension to this sombre timepiece. It features applied polished indices at the hour markers with printed minute markers and is completed by an elegant dauphine style polished hour and minute hands.

The watch comes with an embossed croc pattern genuine calf leather strap with black stitching on 20mm lugs. As compared to glued straps, stitched straps reduce the likelihood of leather splitting.

With a price tag of $401.30 (w GST), this watch is among the more accessibly priced Swiss Made dress watches and will best suit go-getters who are looking for a high quality classic watch. At this price point, the timepiece competes against Asian made fashion watches. While one can argue that fashion watches have better branding and are more well-known, Claude Bernard offers Swiss made quality at similar prices.
